Microaid FAQs

Below you will find some of the questions we are frequently asked. If this page, or our Terms and Conditions page, do not answer your questions please email, call or use the on-line chat facility.

What is the cut-off time for next day delivery on orders?

Orders placed before 4pm will be processed and shipped that day. All orders received after that time may not be processed until the following day. UK orders have an extra hour - 5pm deadline for next day. Please note: Due to Brexit a temporary cut-off time for next day deliveries for Ireland has moved to 12 noon. We expect this to be temporary until mid March approximately.

Is There a Charge for Using Credit Cards?:

Absolutely not. There is no surcharge for using your credit card.

Are All Items Brand New and In Original Box or Packaging?

This is a question we are asked frequently. Maybe because our prices are so low! Yes, all items are new, the latest models and come with a full manufacturer's warranty. All phones are SIM free.

Can Products Be Collected?

Unfortunately no. All items are shipped direct from the warehouse and cannot be collected.

Other Methods of Payment/Credit Account:

We can arrange to open an account for companies subject to the usual conditions. We also accept PO’s from educational establishments and Government departments. Please call us for further details (01-840-8144).

Product Specification:

If you cannot find detailed product specifications, or you need more information on any product, simply call us or e-mail info@microaid.ie and we will send the specifications you require via a .pdf file. We promise to respond to every e-mail.

Returns:

If you change your mind about any product ordered we will issue a refund on receipt of the returned product - you must contact us first for a Returns Authorisation. This must be within 5 working days of your receipt of the order. The original product packaging must be unopened and/or seals unbroken. The item must be unused. The exceptions are of course a product which is damaged or faulty under warranty. In the former case a restocking charge may apply. See also Returns Policy under "Info" in Shop area.

Do we sell to the general public?

Yes, absolutely.

Can I Collect My Order?\n

No, all orders are shipped directly from the warehouse and delivered next day by courier (if you are in a 24Hr delivery area)

Stock Availability & Product Comparison file:

Email us anytime with your requirements/specifications and we will send you a PDF file comparing up to five similar products. Or we can send you a HTML file showing a complete stock listing/pricing for any product line.

Pricing:

If you find a lower price in Ireland or the UK on any product let us know. Email or call us and we will do our best to match or better it for you!

Credit Card Processing:

We accept PayPal, Mastercard, VISA, Visa Debit etc. Your credit card is processed securely via Sellerdeck eCommerce Payments. Nothing is charged to your credit card account until we ship your order . PayPal charge your account immediately but we promise to refund your PayPal account immediately in the rare instance that something should go amiss.

Placing Orders:

We accept orders via phone, website or e-mail. Purchase Orders are accepted from Government Departments, Educational Esteblishments and our regular customer accounts.

Delivery Methods & Charges:

Overnight Courier via DSV Couriers - €12.50+vat . Orders must be placed before 4pm for next day delivery. The overnight service covers most of the Republic of Ireland and the UK. However, there are some locations which may take two days such as the West, SW and NW of Ireland. If in doubt call or email us. While our courier service via DSV is normally excellent, we cannot accept responsibility if they fail to deliver on a specified day or time.

Still Worried About Credit Card Fraud?

A recent survey reported that a large percentage of people are still concerned about card fraud. We use Sellerdeck eCommerce Payments - one of the largest credit card processing services. Your card details are thus totally secure and never stored with us. We also use secure SSL encryption for any other details entered online like delivery address etc. However, if you are still concerned you can phone us with your cc details and we will process them securely immediately via Sellerdeck eCommerce Payments.

Global Refund - Tax Free Shopping

We operate the Global Refund Tax Free Shopping scheme. Call 01-8408144 and just ask for details. The Revenue rules on this have become more stringent recently and proof of leaving the country in the very near future must be presented to us with passport identification etc.
