You do not have to login or create an account to place an order unless you specifically request a credit account.  In other words orders can be placed as a guest. 

Creating an account however gives advantages such as order history and automatic checkout without filling in details every time.

Usually a credit account request is handled on the same day but it may take a day or two to process in some instances.
